FAQ's
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, it is compulsory. You will need a plan that covers medical emergencies and transport, trip cancellation, travel changes, loss of property and luggage. We recommend a comprehensive cover to ensure you’re protected.
Why Costa Rica?
There are numerous breaks with sandy bottoms and mellow waves, as well as reef and points, rights and lefts for all levels.. Plus the year-round warm water and consistent swells, it’s one of the best places to improve skills and ride world-class waves.
Is there a shop nearby to pick up basics?
There is a small store close by, but pack your personal needs, sunscreens, any medications, rashguard, etc before you get here.
What happens if I hate it?
If, for some reason, you finish the five-day retreat completely dissatisfied (a result that we highly doubt!), we will give 100% of your money back.
Do I need to bring my own foil, or will you be providing them?
You will need to bring your own foil. However, we will have Armstrong’s latest foils there for you to demo. Experience the differences and see what works best for you.
What is the jet ski-to-surfer ratio?
We will have four jet skis, with Jamie and his experienced crew driving.
We guarantee you will have more than enough waves!
I can foil, but I am not highly experienced. Will this still be fun for me?
Yes! If you have basic foiling skills and want to have an epic trip, this is for you! However, this is NOT a learn-to-foil experience.
